The brick is an exact copy, made from a mould, of one of the clay bricks which are inlaid in the sidewalk all over the downtown area of Guelph, where this was exhibited. The translucent quality of it meant that its appearance could change quite dramatically according to the weather as well as where one stood in relation to any direct light.
